SHATABHISHA LUNAR ECLIPSE – The Healing Threshold – Aug 27 & 28

A Special Live Lunar Eclipse Ceremony with Prakash Chegu

Kundalini Yoga · Jyotish · Pranayama · Mantra · Meditation · Sacred Healing

WHEN THE MOON ENTERS SHADOW, WHAT WITHIN US ASKS TO BE HEALED?

On August 27–28, 2026, the Earth’s shadow will move across the Full Moon, creating an extraordinarily deep partial lunar eclipse.

Approximately 96% of the Moon’s visible surface will be obscured.

For a few hours, the light through which we ordinarily see the Moon will be interrupted.

In Jyotish, the Moon is more than a celestial body.

The Moon represents the mind: our emotions, memories, habits, attachments, instinctive responses, inner security and capacity to receive nourishment.

When the Moon enters shadow, the mind may no longer be able to maintain its familiar appearance.

What has been suppressed may rise.

What has been rationalized may become emotionally undeniable.

What has remained unnamed may finally ask to be acknowledged.

This lunar eclipse occurs in Aquarius, within Shatabhisha Nakshatra—the mysterious constellation associated with Varuna, Rahu, hidden truth, purification and the circle of a hundred healers.

This is why we are gathering.

Not to fear the eclipse.

Not to manufacture intensity.

Not to make dramatic predictions about what must happen.

We will enter the eclipse consciously—as a threshold between recognition and healing, concealment and truth, isolation and sacred belonging.

FROM THE SERPENT GATE TO THE HEALING THRESHOLD

The August 12 solar eclipse took place in Ashlesha Nakshatra.

Ashlesha brought us into the realm of the serpent: the force that coils, binds, protects, poisons, awakens and transforms.

It asked us to recognize the invisible entanglements beneath our visible lives:

  • Emotional bonds that had become energetic bindings
  • Family loyalties mistaken for destiny
  • Survival patterns mistaken for personality
  • Control mistaken for protection
  • Attachment mistaken for love
  • Familiar suffering mistaken for belonging

The Ashlesha Solar Eclipse opened the Serpent Gate.

But seeing the pattern is not the same as healing it.

Two weeks later, the Shatabhisha Lunar Eclipse completes the passage.

Ashlesha asks:

What has been wrapped around you?

Shatabhisha asks:

What medicine becomes possible now that you can see it?

The solar eclipse revealed what had been obscuring the light of the Self.

The lunar eclipse brings that revelation into the emotional body, the subconscious mind and the deeper chambers of memory.

This is where insight must become practice.

This is where revelation must become responsibility.

This is where the shadow becomes medicine.

SHATABHISHA: THE CIRCLE OF A HUNDRED HEALERS

The name Shatabhisha is commonly understood as “a hundred healers” or “a hundred medicines.”

Its symbol is often described as an empty circle—a sacred enclosure, a healing chamber or a boundary within which something can finally be seen clearly.

Its presiding deity is Varuna, guardian of cosmic order, hidden truth, sacred law and the vast unseen waters of existence.

Its planetary ruler is Rahu, the shadow force associated with amplification, disruption, unconventional perception, obsession, innovation and the breaking of familiar boundaries.

This makes Shatabhisha a complex field.

It can reveal the wound, but it can also reveal the intelligence concealed within the wound.

It can intensify isolation, but it can also create the solitude necessary for healing.

It can expose what has been hidden, but it does not guarantee that we will be ready to acknowledge what we see.

Shatabhisha does not offer superficial comfort.

It asks for accuracy.

Before medicine can be given, the condition must be seen clearly.

Before the pattern can change, its architecture must be understood.

Before healing can begin, we may need to stop defending the very structure that keeps the wound alive.

Healing begins when truth no longer needs to disguise itself to remain acceptable.

THE EMPTY CIRCLE

There is another profound teaching within the symbol of Shatabhisha.

Healing requires a container.

We cannot safely meet everything at once.

The nervous system needs boundaries.

The mind needs stillness.

The emotional body needs enough space to reveal what it has been carrying without being immediately judged, corrected or forced to transform.

The empty circle is not emptiness as absence.

It is emptiness as availability.

It is the sacred space created when noise, performance and compulsive activity temporarily fall away.

Within that circle, we may finally hear what the body has been whispering.

We may recognize which pain belongs to the present and which pain is an echo of the past.

We may discover that what we called brokenness was sometimes an adaptation.

We may realize that the behavior we have been fighting was once an intelligent attempt to survive.

Healing does not begin by declaring war upon the wounded part.

It begins by creating a field in which that part no longer needs to hide.

THE AQUARIUS–LEO AXIS

This eclipse activates the axis between Aquarius and Leo.

Leo represents the individual heart, personal radiance, identity, creativity, sovereignty and the courage to be seen.

Aquarius represents the collective field, community, systems, ideals, social belonging and the future we create together.

When this axis is eclipsed, important questions arise:

Have I abandoned my individuality in order to belong?

Have I made myself exceptional because I am afraid of intimacy?

Have I hidden within a group because I do not want to be personally seen?

Have I made visibility more important than integrity?

Have I confused detachment with freedom?

Have I confused attention with love?

Have I sacrificed my heart to serve a collective ideal?

Or have I demanded that the collective organize itself around my personal identity?

The healing of Aquarius is not conformity.

The healing of Leo is not self-erasure.

The deeper invitation is to become an authentic individual who can participate in the collective without disappearing inside it.

You are not here to lose yourself in the circle.

You are here to bring your truth into the circle without needing to dominate it.

RAHU, THE MOON AND THE AMPLIFIED MIND

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Full Moon passes through the Earth’s shadow near the nodal axis of Rahu and Ketu.

In this eclipse, the Moon meets the Rahu side of the axis.

Rahu magnifies whatever it touches.

It can amplify desire, fear, imagination, fascination, dissatisfaction and mental unrest. It can make a passing feeling appear absolute or make an unresolved longing feel like destiny.

This is why discernment becomes essential.

Not every intensified emotion is a prophecy.

Not every fear is intuition.

Not every thought requires action.

Not every desire is guidance.

The purpose of eclipse practice is not to obey every feeling that rises.

It is to strengthen the inner witness sufficiently that we can feel deeply without becoming governed by everything we feel.

We gather to create steadiness within amplification.

We gather to distinguish revelation from reaction.

We gather to become intimate with the mind without becoming imprisoned by it.

THE ECLIPSE IS NOT THE HEALER

The eclipse does not heal us merely because it occurs.

It does not erase karma, remove every wound or guarantee a sudden breakthrough.

The eclipse interrupts.

It reveals.

It intensifies.

It temporarily alters the familiar relationship between light and shadow.

What we do within that interruption matters.

Healing is not something the sky performs on our behalf.

Healing is the conscious relationship we establish with what the sky helps us see.

The wound contains information.

The symptom contains communication.

The repeated pattern contains an unfinished lesson.

But information becomes medicine only when it is met with awareness, discernment, appropriate practice and a willingness to live differently.

The eclipse opens the threshold.

We must decide whether we are willing to cross it.

A RARE MOMENT OF ALIGNMENT

Our 90-minute gathering will take place during the active partial phase of the lunar eclipse.

We will begin at 9:00 AM India time on August 28.

The eclipse reaches its worldwide maximum at approximately 9:43 AM IST—inside our shared practice.

Across Mexico and North America, the gathering will begin on the evening of August 27. Across Europe, it will begin before sunrise on August 28.

The eclipse will not be visible from India because the Moon will already be below the horizon. However, physical visibility is not required to enter a meaningful spiritual practice.

We will not simply discuss the eclipse after it has passed.

We will sit together during the living astronomical event.

As the Earth’s shadow moves across the Moon, we will create a conscious circle across countries, time zones and continents.

Not one healer standing above the circle.

A circle in which the healer within each person is invited to awaken.

WHAT WE WILL EXPLORE

During this special 90-minute live online experience, Prakash will guide you through a carefully held progression of teaching, Kundalini Yoga, breath, mantra, meditation and integration.

The Jyotish of the Lunar Eclipse

We will explore the Moon, Rahu and Ketu, the Aquarius–Leo axis, Shatabhisha Nakshatra and the deeper significance of entering Earth’s shadow during the Full Moon.

Shatabhisha and the Architecture of Healing

We will examine Shatabhisha as the circle of a hundred healers and explore why healing requires truth, accurate recognition, appropriate boundaries and a sacred container.

The Emotional and Subconscious Field

We will work with the Moon as the keeper of memory, habit, nourishment, emotional perception and instinctive response.

Kundalini Yoga for the Lunar and Pranic Bodies

A carefully selected Kundalini Yoga practice will help regulate the nervous system, circulate stagnant energy and prepare the body to remain present with what arises.

Eclipse Pranayama

We will use conscious breath to settle mental amplification, deepen inner listening and create space between sensation and reaction.

Mantra for Lunar Purification

Sacred mantra will be used to steady the mind, purify the emotional field and gather the scattered currents of attention.

Meditation During the Eclipse Maximum

We will enter a collective meditation as the eclipse approaches its maximum, creating a conscious healing chamber across the global community.

Integration and Healing Sankalpa

We will close by listening for the medicine that is appropriate now—not an impulsive promise or spiritually decorated wish, but a grounded commitment arising from what has been truthfully recognized.

THIS EXPERIENCE IS FOR YOU IF…

  • You are moving through an emotional, relational or spiritual threshold.
  • You have recognized a repeating pattern but have not yet understood how to change it.
  • You feel caught between the need to belong and the need to remain true to yourself.
  • You are carrying grief, mental exhaustion or emotions that have been difficult to name.
  • You have been trying to heal yourself through force, criticism or constant self-improvement.
  • You repeatedly isolate when you most need conscious connection.
  • You feel overstimulated by the collective field, social media or the emotional atmosphere around you.
  • You are learning to distinguish intuition from fear and guidance from emotional amplification.
  • You are drawn to Jyotish, Kundalini Yoga, mantra, meditation and sacred practice.
  • You want to meet the eclipse with presence rather than superstition, fantasy or distraction.
  • You feel called to sit within a consciously held global healing circle.

You do not need previous experience with Kundalini Yoga, meditation or Jyotish.

You only need a willingness to meet yourself honestly.

THE QUESTIONS SHATABHISHA ASKS

During this eclipse, we will sit with questions such as:

What within me is asking to be healed rather than hidden?

What truth have I already recognized but not yet allowed to change my life?

Where have I confused isolation with protection?

Where have I abandoned myself in order to remain inside a group, family or relationship?

Which symptom have I been trying to silence without listening to its message?

What part of me still believes it must become perfect before it can belong?

Where has detachment become avoidance?

Where has service become self-erasure?

Which medicine am I seeking outside myself because I do not trust what I already know?

What boundary would allow healing to occur?

What becomes possible when the wounded part is no longer treated as the enemy?

These are not questions to answer quickly.

They are entrances into the healing chamber.

WHAT YOU MAY EXPERIENCE

Every person meets an eclipse differently.

This practice does not promise instant healing, nor will you be asked to manufacture a dramatic emotional experience.

You may experience:

  • Greater clarity about an emotional or behavioral pattern
  • Recognition of what repeatedly disturbs your mental peace
  • A deeper understanding of the relationship between isolation and belonging
  • Awareness of a truth you have been hesitant to acknowledge
  • A more compassionate relationship with a wounded or protective part of yourself
  • Greater steadiness within emotional intensity
  • Clearer energetic and relational boundaries
  • A renewed connection to the intelligence of your body
  • A quieter relationship with collective noise
  • Greater trust in the healing process
  • A clearer sense of the next appropriate step

The purpose is not to become completely healed in one ceremony.

The purpose is to cross the threshold from unconscious suffering into conscious participation in your healing.

HOW TO PREPARE

If possible, create greater simplicity around the day of the eclipse.

Before the gathering:

  • Eat lightly and consciously.
  • Avoid alcohol, intoxicants and excessively stimulating food.
  • Reduce unnecessary social media and external noise.
  • Avoid entering needless conflict or emotionally charged conversations.
  • Drink sufficient water.
  • Bathe and wear clean, comfortable clothing.
  • Prepare a quiet place where you can participate without interruption.
  • Bring a yoga mat, meditation cushion or chair.
  • Keep a shawl or blanket nearby.
  • Bring a journal and pen.
  • Place a candle or small oil lamp on your altar, if appropriate.
  • Keep a bowl or glass of fresh water nearby for the closing practice.
  • Join the Zoom room at least five minutes early.

If you are in a region where the lunar eclipse is visible, it may be observed safely with the naked eye. Please remain conscious of weather, location and your physical surroundings.

Allow yourself enough time to enter the gathering without rushing.

Healing begins with the quality of attention we bring to the threshold.

The purpose is conscious witnessing, not emotional force or catharsis for its own sake.

If you are experiencing significant psychological distress or a medical condition, this gathering should complement—not replace—appropriate professional care.

Will the event be recorded?

Recording information will be communicated through the event’s registration channel.

Is this gathering connected to a particular religion?

No particular belief system is required. The ceremony draws from Kundalini Yoga, Vedic Jyotish, mantra and meditation while remaining open to sincere practitioners from every background.

WHEN THE SHADOW BECOMES MEDICINE

There are wounds that need rest.

There are wounds that need understanding.

There are wounds that need protection, treatment, time or a new boundary.

And there are wounds that remain open because some deeper truth has still not been allowed to enter our lives.

Shatabhisha does not ask us to glorify suffering.

It asks us to listen accurately.

It asks whether the symptom we have been fighting contains a message.

It asks whether the solitude we have been avoiding contains a meeting with ourselves.

It asks whether the healer we have been searching for outside is waiting for us to participate from within.

Healing is rarely a single moment.

It is a relationship with truth repeated over time.

It is the courage to stop abandoning ourselves at the place where attention is most needed.

It is the humility to receive help.

It is the discernment to recognize which medicine belongs to which wound.

And sometimes, healing begins when we enter a sacred circle and realize that we were never meant to carry everything alone.

On August 27–28, the Moon will enter the shadow.

We will enter the healing chamber.

Come as you are.

Bring the part of you that has grown tired of hiding.

Bring the truth that is ready to be acknowledged.

Bring the medicine that has been waiting beneath the wound.

The shadow does not only reveal what is broken.

It may also reveal the healer you are becoming.
