A clearer relationship with your own knowing
There are moments when you can feel several possibilities pulling you in different directions.
One part of you wants to move forward. Another asks you to wait. You may feel drawn toward something while wondering whether the attraction comes from intuition, familiarity, fear, or hope.
You may be carrying a decision about a relationship, a new direction in your work, a boundary, or a commitment that no longer feels honest.
Viveka offers a space to explore these questions through daily practice.
Is this intuition, or am I anticipating what I fear?
Am I surrendering, or avoiding a responsibility?
Can I be compassionate while respecting my limits?
Does this opportunity fit my values and capacity?
What do I know—and what do I still need to understand?
Over 21 days, we will practice meeting these questions with steadiness, curiosity, and courage.
What is Viveka?
Viveka is a Sanskrit term often translated as discernment: the capacity to distinguish clearly and examine what we take to be true.
In this Sadhana, we bring that inquiry into lived experience. We explore how feelings, thoughts, habits, desires, and expectations influence perception—and how a regular spiritual practice can create space to examine them.
We will work with the Kundalini Yoga teachings of the Negative, Positive, and Neutral Minds: our capacities for protection, possibility, and considered understanding. We will also explore Buddhi, the discerning faculty, and the relationship between insight and action.
The invitation is to develop a more honest relationship with your experience, including the ability to say:
I feel this. I am willing to listen. I am also willing to learn.
What we will practice
Each class brings together embodied practice, a focused teaching, and an invitation to apply it in daily life.
- Kundalini Yoga kriyas: movement, posture, and breath in established practice sequences.
- Pranayama: guided breath practices supporting attention and presence.
- Mantra: working with sound, rhythm, and repetition.
- Meditation: exploring neutrality, intuitive awareness, and the space before reaction.
- Reflection: recognizing the stories and expectations influencing a choice.
- Integration: taking a considered step in a real conversation, boundary, or commitment.
Our practice draws on documented Kundalini Yoga sets and meditations relating to the Neutral Mind, head–heart balance, intuitive awareness, and conscious action.
You will be invited to bring one manageable question or decision into the Sadhana and revisit it as the journey unfolds.
Your three-week journey
Week 1 — Clearing the Noise
What is influencing the way I see?
We begin by noticing the thoughts, emotions, habits, and outside voices competing for our attention. Through practice and reflection, we explore how to distinguish what happened from the meaning we gave it.
Our themes include:
- Mental clutter and repetitive thinking.
- Facts, assumptions, and emotional projection.
- Fear and the protective function of the Negative Mind.
- Desire, possibility, and the Positive Mind.
- Family expectations and borrowed beliefs.
- Creating space before responding.
- Recognizing what deserves our attention.
The invitation: Notice the influences shaping your choices.
Week 2 — Hearing the Inner Teacher
What becomes available when I listen without forcing an answer?
We turn toward the Neutral Mind, silence, intuitive awareness, and the relationship between the head and heart. We practice listening to bodily sensations and emotions while remaining curious about what they mean.
Our themes include:
- The Neutral Mind and meditative awareness.
- Buddhi and discerning understanding.
- Listening through the body.
- Intuition, interpretation, and inquiry.
- Emotion as information.
- An honest yes, a respectful no, and a considered not yet.
- The humility to remain open.
The invitation: Listen inwardly with steadiness and a willingness to learn.
Week 3 — Choosing the Clear Path
What does clarity ask me to do?
We bring the practice into relationships, work, spiritual life, and everyday commitments. We explore the courage to communicate a choice, respect a boundary, and follow through.
Our themes include:
- Values expressed through action.
- Compassion with clear boundaries.
- Discernment in relationships.
- Purpose, opportunity, and capacity in work.
- Thoughtful engagement with teachers and spiritual practices.
- Conscious communication and responsible choice.
- Continuing the practice beyond Day 21.
The invitation: Take your next step with awareness and integrity.
Bring the practice into your life
A clearer path may begin with a small, specific change.
Pausing before answering a message.
Asking a question you have avoided.
Recognizing that attraction and availability deserve separate consideration.
Making a commitment you have the capacity to keep.
Accepting that you need more information.
Expressing a boundary with care.
Throughout Viveka, we will return to one question:
What is the clearest, kindest, most responsible next step I can take with what I know now?
Who this Sadhana is for
Viveka may speak to you if:
- You find yourself overthinking or repeatedly seeking reassurance.
- You want to explore intuition with greater discernment.
- You are navigating a transition or meaningful choice.
- You want to understand recurring emotional reactions.
- You are learning to express boundaries and honest commitments.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need previous Kundalini Yoga experience?
No previous experience is required. The Sadhana welcomes beginners and experienced practitioners. Follow the guidance offered, communicate relevant needs, and work within your capacity.
Do I need a major life decision to participate?
Everyday choices offer plenty of material: how you use your time, respond to requests, communicate your needs, or honor a commitment. You can begin with one manageable question.
Will this help me recognize intuition?
We will explore intuitive impressions alongside feelings, bodily signals, values, and available information. The practice encourages attentive listening and thoughtful evaluation. No single feeling or meditation experience needs to become the final authority on a decision.
What if I cannot attend a class?
[Insert confirmed recording and missed-class arrangements.]
What should I prepare?
A quiet practice space, a yoga mat, comfortable clothing, water, and a journal. Have a cushion or chair available if you need support for sitting.
How much practice is expected between classes?
You will be invited to carry a short reflection or practical action into your day. This might be noticing a familiar reaction, pausing before a response, or taking one considered step.
Step onto the clear path
You can begin with the question you are carrying today.
Bring your curiosity. Bring your uncertainty. Bring your willingness to look carefully and listen deeply.
